Twas the Month before Christmas

Twas the month before Christmas
And all through the halls
Employees were saying
"Give Care to SHARE a call,

Employees we know
Are having tough times.
Christmas is coming
They haven't a dime...

To spend on necessities
Much less Christmas toys,
Or even new clothes
For their little girls and boys."

A parent sitting by the phone,
Awaiting a call...
For someone to say, "We'll help,
Don't worry at all."

Imagine the peace of mind
You'll give that parent
Just by making sure
Their loved ones gifts are apparent!

Imagine the sparkling eyes
Of the little ones,
Come Christmas morning
To see they're not alone!!

"Santa Claus was here!"
You'd hear them exclaim
If you could but be there
And watch the games!

What each box holds,
They try to decide!
New clothes, a toy or
Maybe, could it be a game inside!

But wait...
What's this I hear?
Come Christmas Eve
Just last year!!

A family forgotten
By their department - we fear,
And too late to help,
Care to SHARE does hear!!

Now Facilities! Now Auxiliary!
Now Surgery and Administration
On E.D.! On Nursing!
On Admitting and Nutrition!

Let's rise to the challenge
To help one and all
Of these deserving families
Both large and small!

The warmth of the season
You'll feel just because
You've shared with others
The REAL Santa Claus.

Now it's our honor...
To help these families, you see!
By thinking of others
And not just of "ME"!
